Help !! My gynecologist suspects herpes

first off sorry for the disturbing picture i just never had such a condition. I had the burning and itching and discharge for 10 days now but the swollen labia and sores started 3 days ago. It got so much swollen i can barely see my vagina opening !! So today i went to my gynecologist and she did a pelvic exam she had this freaked out look on her face and said it's a viral infection. And said nth else and she prescribed me Zovirax which is for herpes. And she said i should come back after a week. I'm freaking out i need answers !!! Which is the fastest and cheapest test to detect genital herpes??!!

Plus does herpes cause yellowish watery diarrhea ?

    That looks like herpes to me, and yes I get constipation followed by yellow diarrhea all the time.

    Yes that is definitely herpes. If you have started your medication it should soon start to get better. You should ask your doctor to do a swab if you still have the sores. If they have healed then do IGG blood test.

    it does look like herpes but take medication so The symptoms will get better and stay positive!

    I would request a culture of the sores. Get the culture done within the first two days of the sores appearance. This will ensure an accurate result.

    Herpes can't be identified visually. Herpes can resemble many other sores.

    Do they heal? How long have you had them?
