Help! My OB will not heal!

I was diagnosed 10 days ago with GH. I got it from a partner that either didnt know he had it or neglected to tell me. He was a funny guy and even on one occasion made a joke about having herpes but then very quickly said he was "just kidding". Within a month after sleeping together I was experiencing an outbreak. I never got the chance to confront him however, because he completley cut me off a day before I noticed the first symptom and now he does not respond to my calls or texts. I thought we were happy and that everything was fine, but he decided other wise and had a new girl within days of me being at his house last. All that aside, I've found a lot of helpful recourses online that give me hope for my future and living with GH. I havent told anyone but my doctor and the worst part is that the sores will not heal. I've just finished the ten day supply of twice daily 1 gram Valacyclovir, however my symptoms have only seemed to get worse. The sores have gotten larger and I'm in a great deal of pain. I start the suppresive treatment tomorrow but I'm very upset and I feel like this will never heal and no one could possibly be with me now. I dont know what to do and just want to move on from this horrible time in my life... but I cant move on when sitting is so uncomfortable. I've tried to keep the sores clean and dry but due to the location this is very difficult to do. I feel so alone in this and any help someone could offer would be greatly appreciated. I noticed the symptoms almost a month and a half ago and have tried using tea tree oil and apple cider vinegar applied directly to the area as well as taking lysine tablets every morning. Is there anything else i can do to speed up the healing process? I just want to feel normal again and cant stop crying. I'm only 18 and he was the second person I've slept with. I feel so worthless. We used condoms every time even though I'm on birth control and I thought that was so smart but it just wasnt enough... please help me.

Im feeling a great deal better now, I went back and was given antibiotics for a possible staph/bacterial infection and it has done wonders better since. Thank you so much for your kind words, you cant begin to know how much they help right now 💕

Hi, it seems we are in a very similar situation so don't feel alone! I am also 18 and the guy I'm with now is my first (and I am his first) yet I had my first OB 3 days ago. I'm on Aciclovir but it seems that I am getting worse as more sores are appearing. I cannot walk, sit down, lay in bed or go to the toilet without screaming in pain. I am also experiencing a lot more discharge than normal of a strange yellow colour which makes it impossible to keep down there dry! I am also on Trimethoprim for a bad urine infection I have. I hope you start feeling better soon.

If anyone could give me any advice it would be greatly appreciated!

The best advice to give is to go to your doctor and get tested for HSV-2. That seems somewhat harsh but that's the only way to know for sure what is going on.

Research as much as possible before so you have any questions ready. This is scary but it is best to know what is happening in our bodies.

Best of luck to you, Stay informed by informing yourself ???

I went and got tested by my doctor 2 days ago and am awaiting the results. It's making me worry haha! I've been reseaching a lot but it's just making me more worried! My main question is how to deal with the pain. I find something on a website then another website says the opposite!

      thank you for replying xx

I started using vaseline on the sores and it really helped with the pain and reduced friction during walking. Hopefully it can help you too!

This is rather painful to deal with all together wink However, (and this may sting at first) if you are familiar with Bactine it REALLY helped my pain, itchiness & all when i sprayed the area that was effected. Happiness and healthiness are being sent your way 💗
