    Hi,

I have some of the same synptoms as you and it is hard to deal with. I have Excessive hair on my face and body, I am overweight and struggle to lose any, I also sweat excessively. I'm 24 and have been suffering since I was 16, and I've only recently come to terms with everything and learnt to deal with it and control it. I take metformin which is supposed to suppress the symptoms, but I have also had tests to confirm I don't have cysts on my ovaries, but I do have the syndrome. I used to have really bad anxiety too, but now I'm more comfortable with myself and I don't feel quite as self conscious, I don't sweat nearly as much. A lot of people suffer from PCOS And everybody suffers differently. If it helps, I have to shave my face every morning and use super extra strength deodorant which is embarrassing, but it works for me smile

DO NOT be scared - I am a PCOS sufferer and I was daignosed 24 years ago. Since then, I've had a happy and normal life.........!!

Research and read about PCOS - identify which effects (of the condition) you suffer from, and then speak to your GP for medication support........there's no 'one size fits all' (unfortunately).

The more you understand your condition, the better you'll come to terms with it and manage it appropraiately.

    Good luck!!

    Dear Felicia,

Please calm down and first visit a good gynecologist. You have to make blood tests, see hormon levels. I have been having PCOS for 11 years. Believe me - you can live with it like normal women but you have to change your lifestyle. So diet without sugar, drinks like pepsi or fanta, white bread and fat meat. More fruits and vegetables with low glycemic index, low fat meat like chicken, fish. Start making sport, maybe swimming or cycling or something else but you have to move. It is very important. You will see what your doctor will say you. You can also take dietary supplement with inositol which helps to normalize body weight, restores hormonal balance and reduces insulin resistance. And start thinking pisitively. Don't worry!!! Everything will be fine.
