Help needed

Hi my name is Sarah, I'm 46 and I'm really struggling.

I don't feel like my body is my own ☹ Symptoms seem to be

Left sided shoulder pain that radiates to elbow

Rapid heartbeat

A ringing noise in my ears where it feels like I'm underwater this last less than a minute

Thickening of skin on my left breast (this has been checked with a mammogram and ultrasound all clear) Breast consultant said this was my new normal

Change to my voice - sometimes deeper and croaky

Various aches in elbows and knees

Spots lots of spots

I also seem to manifest every symptom into something sinister mainly cancer (I am currently having CBT for health anxiety)

I have a coil so no idea about periods

My big question is - is it normal to have all the symptoms on only one side of my body?? They all seem to be on the left and will I ever feel like me again

Can all these things be just down to the menopause?

Thanks for reading

Sarah

    hi Sarah

I've got the same symptoms:( I had 2 breast checks 18 months ago. My symptoms come and go and when I Google it points to C!

Do you also great breast pain where its burning and sore? My pain has come back on left breast and I'm so miserable!

Every week its a new symptom or and old one coming back with a vengeance!

Hi, I never get burning pain but I always feel very aware of my left breast and it makes me so miserable. Ive had it on and off for at least a year.

Mammogram was compared to my previous one in 2016 and there was no change. I find it hard to accept that this is now just how I am.

My symptoms seem to vary through the month.

I just want to feel like me again. I've heard intrusive thoughts are also a symptom hence the CBT.

At least with this forum we can be miserable together

      Sarah x

thanks Sarah, totally agree this forum eases some of my health anxiety.

Try skin 47 the serum and cleanser for your spots it's been a game changer for my skin which got me down massively:(

It's frustrating to not even be able to tell what's normal anymore. There is just this depressing sense that one isn't "OK" and missing the person one used to be:(

I use a tea tree oil-based cleanser for spots which I find helps.

    Hi Sarah,

I'm also. 46 and struggling with perimenopause symptoms. Mine are also all left sided. So weird! It's like my left and right sides belong to 2 different bodies.

    My symptoms are

    Head/ear/neck/eye pressure

    Left shoulder pain

    Left ovary pain

    Tingling in hands and feet

    extreme anxiety

    palpitations/fast heart rate

constant need to clear my throat/voice is quiet

    Left sided hip/lower back aches

    digestion issues

    feelings of dread and doom

I'm also having CBT for my health anxiety. I've had health anxiety for years but it's out of control at the moment. I always assume every single symptom is related to 'C' . Is your CBT helping? I'm not sure if it's made a difference to me yet.

Anyway just wanted to let you know that you're not alone. Hugs x

    hi, Sarah

I was reading your post and I was wondering. You said everything was on your left side is the lower left side is sore and do you feel a burning sensation after you eat. Do it feel gasses is your stomach on that side always gurgling.
