Help. Not sure what to do

I have been suffering with bv for quite sometime. On Sunday I tried a vitamin c with rose hip pill and instated it. I was immediately in a lot of pain burned so bad. I have discharge still and I can feel inside like it burned me or something. The pain is still there I'm not sure if I should wait it out or if i should call my doctor. I really would like to do my normal boric acid suppository but thinking I should wait. Any suggestions or ideas on what will make me heal faster?

I would take a luke warm bath and soak for about 15-20 min. No soaps just water. If the pain is still really bad I would see a doctor but for me personally I would wait on the boric acid! I would give myself time to heal up before using anything else that could make it more irritated. I had good luck with vh essentials. They are suppositories from amazon. Maybe you can give that a try when you are better! Maybe drinking water would help too!

Hello love it's been awhile since I've been on here myself. I am a woman who goes through these type of things as well or did go through these type of things, in other words it's been years since I've had to deal with the reoccurrence of this so let me tell you what I did, I went to the emergency and Urgent Care very frequently as this bacterial vaginosis continued to go on, doctors kept prescribing me metronidazole Flagyl pills which were very nasty tasting and after a while my body became immune to this particular brand of meditation so once I told the doctors that my body was immune to it they recommended me some metronidazole gel insert or the cream clindamycin and I took it upon myself to go to my local pharmacy CVS Rite Aid Walgreens or what have you even Walmart and I went and got some probiotic inserts, they look like some bullets but it's in a yellow box with colorful flower petals on the box, like a yellow and green box but there probiotics and you get like 30 of them I think in the Box. So what I did was I went and got my prescription filled and after I got my prescription I went and got the probiotics. I did my inserts of antibiotics at night and one probiotic after I showered in the morning and I wore a pad throughout the day to balance it, do this until the medicine is gone and make sure when you put the medicine inside of you that you're aiming for your uterus so mine's is curves slightly left so I inserted it and put it in to the left a little bit push some of the cream up in there and then I put it to the right and put the other part of the cream up in there as well, all still the same amount you're supposed to put I just made sure it was evenly distributed into my vagina and then in the morning when I got up when I insert the probiotic I put it back as far as I could and then got up put a pad on right away and your underwear because it will be a heavy flow of white discharge when the probiotics melt, do not be scared it's the medicine and the probiotic. If this works for you like it has for me you can thank me by reposting and tagging me in it Signed DATGYRL

I have also had BV now for 2 years. I have literally tried EVERY SINGLE medication prescribed by a doctor AND home remedies. Nothing works, I haven’t tried boric acid suppositories and it does not work. All of the things women like us win BV put into our vaginas, I think is actually making the problem worse. The best thing to do is to switch to all cotton only underwear, use only water not soap to wash your vagina, make sure it dries thoroughly after a bath or shower before putting clothes on. And take a probiotic at least once a day. Drink lots of water also, avoid sugary foods and don’t eat a ton of carbs BV feeds off of both of those things. Good luck!
