I am a 24 year old femal. For the last month or so now i have been having the pain in my right side. It started around late september early november i started feeling nauseaus at night and would be so bad i would run to the bathroom to get sick but the only thing that came out was mucus. During one of these episodes i felt a pain in my right side. it felt almost like I had pulled a muscle in my side ( we were moving at the time and wouldnt have been suprised). I would only get neausea at night and my appetite was slowly decreasing. the neausea lasted about a week and it went away and i thought nothing of it.

My appetite was still slowly going away. then about 2 weeks or so ago i woke up really neauseas and had another round of gagging with nothing but mucus coming up. during this time i was having rounds of diahrrea and constipation that would alternate with a majority of the time being having diahrrea. I went to the doctors concerned as it was going on for a week straight.

(a little background i havent been sexually active since march or april and have had all my cycles since)

I told him everything that was going on told him i had a concern that i might have ben pregnant, but he quickly dismissed that. he ran some blood test and did an abdominal ultrasound. All i was told from the blood test was that all of the test save for one came back normal. my total bilirubin count was high as well as he said my liver and spleen felt hard. i am still experiencing pain in my right side feels like something moving in my stomach from time to time. the pain is to the point i cannot stand at work i have to sit down for work. If i lay on my back at night i wake up barely able to move. im at a loss of what to do or what to thin. is there anyone out there who might have some sort of suggestiong?

High bilirubin counts would suggest that you have your gallbladder checked, preferably by a GI doctor. A bad gallbladder can affect other organs, especially the liver. If you have gallstones and they try to pass, you'll feel sick, and in pain. I had a stone pass, and land on my pancreas, which then lead to a host of other problems. My liver enzymes were off the charts, and I was sicker than a dog. Save yourself a lot of pain by going to a specialist, and getting scans done.

I had my gallbladder removed roughly 3 years ago. it had gotten so bad that the bile duct had scarred shut when they finally figured out it was my gallbladder

I'd suggest asking for a gall bladder test/scan to,

Some days I'd have mild pain like backache but felt sick and constipated and others horrific with dioreah

Hi I get this fluttering moving feeling around navel and to the left of it. I also get pain but on the left side. I'd also be interested if anyone else gets this moving fluttering feeling.

I have had the fluttering feeling from time to time and I was diagnosed with IBS.

Perhaps have a HIDA scan of your gallbladder and have your liver checked.

I didn't see your comment that your gallbladder has been removed.  Perhaps the removal of your gallbladder has disturbed something.  Sometimes stomach surgery can trigger IBS.

Gcould be a possibility. I know when my gallbladder first started acting up I also had a bout of gastritis which they thought had cause me to have ibs. But after my gallbladder was removed I havenr had any problems with my stomach till here recently. Or atleast any major issues with it

The other possibility is gastritis again or h pylori.  You could ask for a stool test to check for this bacteria.

I certainly hope it's not gastritis again. It doesn't quite feel the same as when I had it before but then again I was dealing with my gallbladder as well. I go into a gastoinerologist on the 22 but the pain get so intense sometimes and today I had it hitting up into my rib on my right side as well as into my back.

If the pain gets very bad, you could ask to have your appointment put forward.

I tried seeing if they had anything sooner but no suck luck unless someone cancels. today has been a better day then the last few. the only major problem today was a little pain and getting really dizzy in the store. im hoping that the change to my diet will help ease some things just a little but been a week no  real change so far

Hi just thought I'd up date you on pain and fluttering left abdomen. I had an ultrasound today and everything came back ok. I'm thinking maybe it's a hiatus hernia as was diagnosed with this last year.

if that were the case wouldnt the pain and the fluttering be more located to to the center front?

Hi I do also get pain around navel, but mostly to the left. I think sometimes you can get referred pain, but it all guess work and trial and error with diet. I hope yours improve.
