help! pip!

I applied for PIP on the 13 of July due to depression and Epilepsy with ongoing seizures, I'm frightened to go out and won't do anything on my own, I had a letter from my specialist that I sent as evidence to dwp explaining how it affects my day to day life. I had my medical on the 1St of October, the lady was very very nice but not sure if it was a front or not, although she said it was very nice to see somebody genuine who does need help. I rung PIP last Thursday for them to tell me they received my medical report on the Tuesday and that it was with the decision maker, rang again yesterday for them to tell me completely different and that they hadn't even got the medical report, can anybody shed some light on how long I might be waiting. What's the success rate? Any success stories?
Thankyou

No idea how long you will have to wait I am afraid.
My only advice is if you ring again, try to get the name of the person you speak to. Sometimes they will give you a direct line number which means you are likely to be able to speak to that person again. Another option is to say you need to speak to the manager or someone in charge. The other thing you can do is to say to them that whatever they say to you in the phone call you have to have that confirmed in writing. I do this because I have trouble with my hearing.
Best of luck with all this.
Let me know how you get on

I only rang originally because I wanted a copy of the medical report as I like to file everything, he said I don't think we would of received it yet but I'll check for you. He said oh yeah we have received it and it's with the decision maker so I'll have to request a copy from them.. So I don't even know what's going off. The lady I spoke to yesterday said we haven't received anything yet and it can take up to 5 weeks then 2 weeks for a decision. I will let you know how I get on, will ring again on Monday and see what they say this time.
Thank you

Phoning the DWP is like "Looking for a needle in a haystack", so to speak (and pardon the pun!).
You can ask for the person's name, but they are not at liberty to give their surname.
They operate in Teams, you can ask for the team that they are in.
You can also ask which Centre they are from.
That's all you can get, if that...you maybe lucky.
Regards,
Les.

Unless you actually speak to a decision maker or senior civil servant, you must take anything that they say with a pinch of salt.
Back in time when I was claiming ESA I needed some advice. Rang the Benefit Delivery Office and no one had a clue what the answer was. It ended up with them giving me an answer after they took a straw poll amongst themselves - 3 for, 1 against!!

It's really silly isn't it, most of them haven't got a clue!
