Help please

So i started sertraline 5 days ago have had major side affects one being my heart rate goinf up and down which scares the life out of me due to my anxiety been to the hospital they said its the medication and should get better after 2 weeks has anyone else felt this please i need help

    yes it gave me a Panic attack after 2 days of taking it and I stopped it immediately. I still dont feel that good and the last dose i took was Saturday.

      hi jessica. I used to have lots of heart palpitations and yes they are scary but they do calm down.

      one of the reasons you may get them is because there is a nerve in between your stomach and bottom of your heart, if anything upsets your stomach, as these type of drugs can, due to working not only the serotonin in your brain but also your stomach, then it can feel like you have something wrong with your heart.

      you have had it checked out and nothing was found so that is good, it is just unfortunately another side effect sent to test us.

      as hard as it is try not to let it worry you, if you dwell on it your anxiety will make it worse, it will pass

      Thank you so much for your reply i just had heart palpitations which took my heart rate to 129 whixh was scary ive put it dwn to anxiety and i did get them a lil after eating how many times aday did you get them
