Hi, I was diagnosed with thrush last Thursday (telephone consultation) and was given flucanazole 150mg (1 tablet). The itching has gone but I still have some white lumpy discharge but I'm getting strange twinges and cramps down below in my vagina. I have an appointment this Wednesday for swabs and examination but I'm getting worried as never had pain/discomfort in this region before. Does this sound typical of thrush or possibly something else? I've only ever been with one person and he's only been with me.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

The fluconazole stays in your system for several days. So you'll still be seeing discharge for a couple days. In my experience with it, I've always had discomfort in the form of heaviness feeling and twinges, usually if its on the more severe side of the infection vs a mild one. Its good to go get checked out to he sure though.

Thank you for your reply. It's the twinging and pain that worries me as I've never had issues like this before. Had swabs taken so will have to wait and see what happens with the results.
