Help please :( (toenail fungus)

Hi there, I recently turned 14 years old and I have toenail fungus, yup that really ugly thing. I have had it for a bit over a year now, and I decided to just ignore because I was so afraid to do anything. I got it because I was at a pool and I have a feeling it infected me. I decided it was finally time to do something about it, and I started researching. Tea tree oil seemed like it worked for a lot of people! So I decided to try it out a few weeks ago (like 3) and I see some difference but my toenail still looks really bad. I was wondering if maybe there's other remedies to help me defeat this monster and put an end to this. I really do prefer natural remedies, I have a lot of faith that the tea tree oil will help me. Please post anything that could help! Thank you :-)

It is easy to catch a nail fungus at a public pool. Fungus survives best in the warm area around the showers. That's why it is a good idea to wear rubber flip flops. Nail fungus is much easier to treat if it affects only a small part of the nail. Once the whole nail is affected (up to the root) it becomes more difficult to treat with natural remedies only.
Give the tea tree oil a go and monitor your nail carefully. In the meantime, it would be good to also get the opinion of a dermatologist.
You should know that nail fungus is infectious and could spread to the other nails or to other people. It is important to use a different set of tools (nail files, clippers, scissors) to trim the affected nail. Also it would be a good idea to add laundry disinfectant to the rinse cycle especially when you wash your socks at lower temperatures.
On a final note, it is difficult to erradicate nail fungus completely. Whatever method you use, try to keep the treatment going well beyond the point where the nail has grown back completely and has a normal appearance (pink and translucent).

I had been dealing with toenail fungus last year. I tried lot of random remedies until I combined two of em. It cured my toenail fungus in no Time. Like two months.
First of all, soak your foot in water and listerine, 3/5 water and 2/5 listerine. Once you are done trim your nail. Then apply Loceryl (you can buy it from every pharmacy). Repeat this 3x a week and in 2 months you ll be fungus free.
Have a nice Day and give it a try. I had been there and I want to help others get rid of it too.
