Help - restless/fidgety (akathisia?)

Posted , 4 users are following.

at 4 weeks on 20 mg citalopram i went up to 30 on psychiatrists advice. started feeling intolerably jittery, harder to sleep though that's been a problem overall. waited it out for 12 days, then the psychiatrist said it was too much so go back to 20. i did that 7 days ago but if anything the restlessness/fidgety/jitters have gotten worse, or at least not much better.

i am able to sleep some with Clonazepam. but it's not enough. is this going to pass? when?

i have a long history but citalopram has worked for me before. if i could get some rest i feel like i would be doing much better.

    Hi,

I get restless legs in bed, I think its a side effect of citalopram.
