Help! Rosacea is not being controlled

Posted , 2 users are following.

In 2009 in got interferron tx for HCV. Right after finishing the tx my rosacea started. In May 2011 i was diagnosed Rosacea by Dermatalogist and got tx. Major components of tx were Isotretonion 20mg one tab after two days and Azithromycine 250 daily for 3 months. Rosace gone for 2.5 years.

In Januray 2014 it came back suddenly. i went to same dermatologist and this time he didn't give me isotretonion but only antibiotics like minocycline and azithromycine with some acne wash soaps and gels, sunblocks, iso acne gel etc. Minocycline did work very quickly and effectively but as i stop tx after 3 months i came back again and now my face (shaving area) is full of Pastules and Papules. Im taking some homoepathic medicines for a week but it is not working.  In January i used to eat boiled eggs daily, hot tea and room heater. My be this was trigger behind my rosacea. Im much depressed and disapponted. What should i do plze help.

I suffered for about 3 years. Having also been prescribed oral and topical antibiotics which only had temporary and minmal effect I started out of desperation surfing the net for other ideas and remedies. Came across zinc supplements and zinc and sulphur night cream.

I took zinc gluconate (from Holland and Barratt) two 15mg tablets per day, one in the morning and one at night and applied the cream just before bed (as it leaves a white film). Four weeks later and my rosacea has GONE !! - my complexion has never looked better. Worth a try but be careful not to exceed zinc dose as it can deplete copper levels.  Anyway leave you to research further if you are interested but it worked for me. Good Luck. Chris

Go to _____ This is the article I first read.

The night cream I use is aponia from Amazon

Zinc supplements can be bought from any local chemist shop but also an extensive range from on-line outlets eg Amazon.

It may be an idea to discuss with GP so as to make sure anything you decide to try is not interfering with other treatments and to be sure you are taking a safe dose. I hope you have success.
