Help still

Ok so my symptoms are as follows. Started with frequent urination which has died down now. In the evening when I lay down I feel like I need to pee or that there is a few drops at the end of my penis. I also have a very slight like burning after ejaculation, doesn’t really hurt just feels weird. Never have had a discharge, No fever, no rashes or sores. Went to the urgent care and they did a physical exam and took a Irvine sample. Said no infection found in my urine (not sure what they tested for) checked my prostate and said one side may be a little swollen but didn’t seem concerned. I asked him about STI and he did seem concerned said I would have have a rash or sore or would burn when I pee (which doesn’t and never has happened).

So I guess my question is what do you guys think. I am still scared it is an STI. But the doc seemed to dismiss that and like I said not sure the exact test they did on my urine but said it was free if infection. Any thoughts or suggestions before my anxiety starts kicking in again?

The urine test would be a dipstick test for nitrates

Sounds like you have mild prostatitis. This can be caused by an STI but often isn't.

I would recommend getting an STI screen just in case.

I had prostatitis, worse than yours, a few months ago and the sti test showed up chlamydia

What do you mean worse? Did you ever have a fever or anything that signaled an infection. I never have.

I would get tested for stds just to rule them out.  They were likely to be testing for urine infections unrelated to stds I

Mine got worse day by day over about a week. Frequent urination but difficulty in peeing. waves of pain that woke me up at night and made it dificult to sit down when one hit me.
