HELP!! Vaginal sore/wound after oral

Posted , 4 users are following.

What happened:

  • boyfriend gave me oral for the first time
  • he shaved a couple days prior (prickly face caused friction)
  • he was extremely rough and i felt his teeth as well as his beard violently rubbing against the skin
  • it was extremely painful during and right after he did it
  • at first my inner labia was extremely swollen and dark red (right after) and it was painful to wipe. A day later i discovered it looks like an open wound.
  • now (week later) it looks like it got infected?
  • I am HSV1/2 negative
  • i did apply creams on the area but it burned and i now got additional blisters
  • What should i do? it gets worse everyday
  • during oral it almost felt like he bit me down there! (very painful)
  • we did not have sex and i did not give him oral. i do not believe it is herpes because he basically injured me and it was a wound right after

what should I do?

Hi, what ointment have you been applying?

The best right now is to do the bare minimum and let your skin heal. You should take sitz bath with baking soda. If it does not improve within 2-3 days, you see a doctor. Remember that genital skin is fragile and takes a long time to heal. Try to wear loose clothing.

With the timeline, I find it unlikely to be herpes.

I used an ointment which I later saw was not meant to be applied on the genital area. i went to my doctor and explained to her, she took a look and said it's herpes without listening to what i told her.. she did not do anything else (no swab etc.)

First off, from a sexual health standpoint, sex shouldn't be painful and I think a conversation on oral technique is warranted.

Secondly that is a pretty notable wound. I second L2341's recommendation to let it rest and wear loose clothing. You can still use ointments such as bacitracin but use it conservatively and only on the external area. Keep an eye on it and if it does not heal in a few days or shows any signs of getting worse, make an appointment with doctor. Mouths can be dirty and there is a risk infection so keep an eye out for swelling etc.

Went to a doctor and explained that the wound got infected after applying ointments on it and she just told me it's herpes. (even though it was a wound right after the oral sex) she gave me a topical ointment with cortisone and oral herpes meds and it went away after 2 weeks. I'm still not sure if it's really herpes since she did not do a swab of the wound
