Help! why has my transplanted hair not grown for 5 months and is thinned out

I had a hair transplant on my hairline/temples in October 2021 due to I'm told traction alopecia over the years. All was going well up until March 2022, when the progress suddenly stopped and for the next few months there was no progress to the point that I asked my hair doctor in June if I shouldn't have more density by now. He said its normal and to give it a couple of months, so I did and in August my new transplanted hair had just become thinner and thinner until all I saw was scalp. Being October this year was supposed to be my 1 year in which I thought it would solve all my hair problems, I am absolutely gutted and depressed. I asked my hair doctor for advise and he was pretty useless and just suggested Minoxidill or PRP or Laser Light Therapy. Just generic solutions and hasn't even invited me in for a review as promised. I had a blood test in September to which my GP said m Ferritin, B12 and bloods were 'normal'. Obviously this is frustrating as this does not help me in anyway. I resorted to doing my own research and in September started supplementing in more iron, along with Vit D, Zinc and B complex as I feel I have to self diagnose until I find a dermatologist who can help me troubleshoot what the root cause is. Things have improved a little but I am so upset. I feel I went through all that pain, stress, 12 months patience and financial investment for nothing. Should I just pay for a private derm or hair loss specialist
