Help with blood test results

Posted , 1 user is following.

I got my recent test results back but need some help with understanding the results.

Results were;

Haemoglobin estimation: 76 g/L(normal range 120-150)

Haematocrit: 0.298 I/L (normal range 0.36-0.46)

Serum Iron Level: 3 umol/L (normal range 5.8-34.5)

Serum TIBC: 73 umol/L (normal range 45-70)

Saturation iron binding capacity: 4% (normal range 14-51)

The saturation iron binding capacity seems quite low but TIBC is not that far from being in the normal range. I thought that iron deficient anaemia always has high TIBC.

Is this still iron deficient anaemia?
