help with Fluoxetine

Today I took my Fluoxetine tablet and around half an hour to an hour later I began getting extreme pains and heartburn. Overall Im feeling extremely unwell and because of this im beginning to panic that there is something wrong. Im feeling hot and feverish, quite sick and the pain in my chest and throat is unbearable. Can anyone please help and let me know if this is normal to be feeling so unwell? And if there is any way I can help myself because my emotions and anxiety are very high right now.

    I take Fluoxetine. I get severe heartburn, bad enough to wake me up. Not pleasant, but not uncommon. The answer seems to be a BIG swig of Gaviscon. Hope you are OK. Stuart

      thank you for your help stuart! I will be sure to start taking Gavison.

    Oh I had that too! I believe what helped me was to take my pill with a meal and in between sips and bites so it goes down well.

    And it will get better! At some point I had to take 4 x 20mg capsules and it was easy.

    i got doc to change to tablet form in stead of capsual (sprinkles) i found wrapping bread and swalling help but i just had to swap gavscon didnt help or others.
