Hi there, it does take a bit of getting used to but you'll get there. The rule of thumb is no more than 5 grams of fat in any 100 grams of something you are eating and no more than 15 grams of fat per meal - so max of 45 a day. To work it out look on the packet of everything you eat, there is usually a breakdown of the total calories/fat etc for the packet or 1/2 packet and then a breakdown per 100g. Look at the 100g breakdown and make sure the fat is not above 5 grams for that 100g. You then need to work out how many grams you are going to eat, for e.g if you decide to have some soup for lunch and the can says 1.2g of fat per 100g and the tin has 400g in total, and you are going to have the whole amount then you would multiply the 1.4 by 4 = 4.8g in total fat. Then if you were going to have a wholemeal roll with it for example and the wholemeal roll was 1.8g of fat per 100g and the roll itself was 250g then you would multiply 1.8 x 2.5 = 4.5g of fat in total. Therefore your total meal would be 10.3g of fat for the tin of soup and the roll. I hope that helps as I know it can be a bit confusing to start. As for some recipes and ideal, go to the forum by Kat02 titled "did a naughty and had a macdonalds" as there are lots of food ideas during that whole discussion. Good luck, let me know how you get on. X

Hi, I have been on them for 7 weeks tomorrow and I have lost a stone - quite good you may think but I lost that in my first month and for the last 3 weeks have stayed the same which is a bit depressing. But carrying on anyway and hoping a lump falls off me any day!!!! Let me know how you get on and good luck.
