Hi, I've been on sertaline 50mg for just over two years.my gp put me up to 100mg 6 weeks ago, due to a depression rebound. The first couple of weeks I felt as if the meds where starting to work again . Unfortunately after the first few weeks of the increase I have been left with horrible weird feeling, as if I am not actually  here.i also have been suffering with bad headaches, tirdness and finding it hard to focus. Has anyone else felt like this on a sertaline increase? Thanks in advance

Hi I'm having exactly the same trouble.  I know its horrible!  I had 4 weeks of 50ml and I have had 11 days of 100ml. I feel worse. I'm back at doctors tomorrow and either going to go back to 50ml and stick it out or change to a different one x

Thanks for your reply Susan,I feel as if my only option is trying to go back down . I've gave it 6 weeks of feeling really weird on the 100mg.the strange thing is that I've been on this med for over two years and my body still can't handle the dose increase.a small tip for yourself, I never started feeling better on the 50mg for a couple of months, try and stay on the same dose for a while before choosing to go up, going up is not always the best option in my own experience. Hi ive been on sertraline for a few months im on 50mg and i dont feel that good on it. heavyiness in head, and numbness in head and tiredness and swaying in my head. its not easy on these tablets i know how you feel. ive been on and off other antidepressants and i dont feel much better on all of them. I did have a stronger sertraline awhile a go and felt the same. I wish you luck with these, im sure it will get better.

Hi, I've just gone up from 50mg to 100mg two days ago after 4 weeks on 50mg and so far I'm having lots of side effects on the 100mg, including feeling jittery, very aware of my body parts and like they don't work properly, bit of anxiousness - which didn't have before, was on tablets for depression, feeling of detachment and not sleeping well. I haven't been sleeping well on and off for a while so it's hard to know if it's the increase or just my state of mind at the moment. I'm wishing that I had increased from 50 up to 75 first of all as on 50mg I had nausea and headaches which seemed like a lot easier to deal with than what I've experienced so far ... But not sure if it would do more harm than good now to cut down to 75mg from now. I'm hoping that if persist the side effects will get better and start feeling the good effects .....
