Help with Slight Incontenence

Posted , 4 users are following.

I had my prostate removed in Jan 2013 and have had my problems, bleeding, servere incontinence, radio therapy, hormone implants culminating in a maintained PSA of 0.01 so it has all been eventually to the good.  I still have a very slight incontence - lifting heavy objects, coughing etc - howver, i have found the answer that it is not too readily available on the shelves of pharmacies etc,  TENA MEN DISCREET PROTECTION (ABSORBES DRIPS AND DRIBBLES) - CALLED PROTECTIVE SHIELD - 14 in a pack for £3.99 - most importantly they take up little room in my suitcase when I am off to Spain for a month or so.

It has been a blessing in many ways

Yes, they are excellent. I too use and recommend them having had Robot-Assisted Prostatectomy. I have no real issues.

Andrew the short answer to both is YES - to te first I had little choice although PSA was only 9 I was Gleason 10.   Further complication after removal as the blighter regrew on the prostate bed.   If I had had RT first that may not have happened.

Dribble is fine and only a nuisance if I Sneeze, cough or lift heavy items - otherwise dry even at night.

Good luck -time to life a glass or two - no problem with that!!

George, thanks just a little nervous. I'm also concerned about my post sex life. I'm hearing different opinions on it. Good and not so good...

In my case that is not good - mind you I am now 79 and probably wore it out.   Seriously because I had a regrowth I have been kept of hormone implants and thats gives you no drive - rather like females when it suits them.   Keep your pecker up.
