Help with the interpretation of radiologist chest x-ray report

Hello

I just had my chest x-ray report from the radiologist. It reads as follows: PA chest radiograph and comparison made with the chest radiograph of 13/05/2017 and 14/10/2017. The cardiomediastinal contour is normal. There is a stable tiny area of linear atelectasis in the left base. As noted previously there is a 2.5mm nodule in the right midzone which is completely unchanged when compared with previous radiographs and is therefore not significant. There is no evidence of consolidation nor of a pulmonary mass. The bones appear normal.

I would just like to add that I had an operation to remove my thyroid in the last three weeks and also during this time came down with a chest infection. My worry is about the linear atelectasis. Does anyone please have any ideas what it could be in my case. Thank you.
