Help - worried about location of fissure...

I hope someone can relate.

Has anyone had a fissure that is lateral/ located at the 3 o clock position which was not caused by anything sinister?

For the past 2 years i have had fissures on and off at the 6 and 3 o clock positions, often having more than one at the same time. They usually heal within a week and then i dont get them for another 4-5 months, but recently i have been dealing with a fissure at the 3 o clock position. I have seen a colorectal doc who wants me to try GTN ointment for 6 weeks and if that doesnt work he wants to run further tests 😦 im so worried, especially of anal cancer as Dr google says multiple fissures or one in an atypical location is usually caused by an underlying issue.

I have fissures at almost those exact locations. I was told crohns and inflammatory diseases can cause multiple fissures. Also taking too many laxatives can cause fissures especially at weird angles.

Do you know if yours are caused by a condition? I dont have any other symptoms to suggest i suffer from Crohns or IBD. Strange.
