Helpppp

I am currently going through my first BC. And this thing is a real b***h. I had some discomfort the week before last and just chocked it up to razor bumps. On Tuesday the pain was gut wrenching. I googled vaginal cysts and found BC as a diagnosis. Wednesday morning I went before work and got the mixture for Phoebe’s cure. I work in a hospital and have become very close to the nurse in my GYN office and called her to ask about it and when we talked she made me an appointment to come in right away. I went In and they lanced this damn thing. The needle to numb was awful but once I was numb and my GYN went to town I felt like a new woman. She put me on Bactrim and sent me on my way. She said it would continue to drain and just continue sitz baths and warm compresses. I have been trying to use the heating pad but it’s such a weird spot I feel like I can’t get to it. It is now Sunday and wouldn’t you know this thing is back with a vengeance. I have been doing sitz baths a couple times day and compresses and just got around to making Phoebe’s cure. I am nowhere near this thing bursting on its own yet but this has been the only thing to soothe the area. Even if it doesn’t burst and I end up back at my GYN, this soothing is enough for me!

Have a read about natural remedies on this forum as yes it can come back and it is awful having to go to the hospital.  I have had them for 15+yrs now.  At the start it was awful, lots of hospital visits.  Now I get one once or twice a year.  I use silica spray on it, blue and orange box....my magic weapon.  Last time I had to go to the hospital was maybe 10yrs ago.  Sending you a hug.  It certainly makes you cry when it returns!!!!

Thank you. Sorry that you have been through this as well. The Phoebes cure is making it feel a lot better oddly enough. It’s either that or the Aleve I’ve been taking like candy.

    Hi Kristen,

I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through this! The first is always the least painful as the reoccurring ones disrupt the scar tissue. Since you’re getting them back to back (same thing happened to me), the best option is to just remove the gland ASAP before more scar tissue forms from each procedure. If you keep getting it lanced, unfortunately it means your gland isn’t working which means eventually you will need it removed. I finally decided to get mine removed after 3 lancing and marsipulation procedures and have not had a reoccurrence in about 3 years now as before I was getting them every 3 months for almost 4 years straight. That’s my advice and opinion... best decision I ever made

Thanks for your reply. I don’t think when she drained it she got everything out. I also think when she cut it with a scalpel since it’s such a clean cut it healed quicker than she expected. I’m giving it a few days and if it’s not better going back. I know removing the gland is a last resort. I don’t know if I’m at that point yet.
