Hematoma

So I finally went into my OBGYN to discuss the continuous bleeding. He found that it wasn't anything related to my female area, but that I have a baseball sized hematoma from the surgery. I'm a little panicked here. I have no idea how they fix that or how it was caused. But now the feverish chills and just overall feeling horrible is now explained! Sooo I'm going back to the specialist this afternoon and I'm so nervous. I only have 3 more weeks off and I believe a wait and see method has sailed. So that's why I'm nervous. Nervous they'll have to do surgery again.
I'm also a little annoyed that it took a 40 minute appointment with my OBGYN to find this, but the specialist just kept waving me off. Wish me luck!! 😦

Hi Megan, what a fiasco! My doctor thought I had a small hematoma that she may have nudged when she was checking me at my 2 week post-op checkup. That night I woke up with non stop hemorrhaging that took me to the emergency room in the middle of the night. I was on bed rest for a week, finally stopped bleeding, then started my period 2 days later. LOL not funny tho.
I was worried I would have to have another surgery or something. So far the bleeding has completely stopped and I am getting better every day. I'm nervous that I might have something inside still that is unresolved, but I try not to think about it. how long have you been hemorrhaging? what did your doctor or specialist say? my doctor told me if the bleeding didn't stop she might do a soft tissue MRI to check that area visually, but not physically internally. I'm really hoping this passes more quickly than you expect, and that this will be resolved sooner you know. Please keep us posted!

I think i started my cycle as usual and then also started the constant bleeding from this hematoma 2 weeks ago. The doctor said he can't get to it. he said he'd have to cut a stitch or two to get yo it. I said ummm no thanks! Totally not comfortable messing with the repair. he said i dont have an active bleed that he could find so he believes it will go away on its own. bleeding is definitely heavier today, so im hoping its disappearing. If its baseball size now, hate to see what it was!
So i feel your pain! female crap on top of this is horrible! totally wasn't prepared for all this. I am glad yours stopped. how long did it take?
