Hemmerhoidectomy and skin tag removal aftermath - can't produce a BM!

Hi guys - I am 29 years old and after banding four internal hemmerhoids this past May, I was left with two very large skin tags that needed removed and another hemmerhoid that also needed further treatment
On Friday morning, I had a colorectal surgeon remove the skin tags and she stapled the other hemmerhoid that she saw.
I've been sore, though it's been nothing like the pain I experienced with the four bandings which were all done at once.
As of yesterday afternoon, I have started to feel very uncomfortable because I cannot produce a BM... at first I felt like something was "traveling" down my system and that it would for sure happen, but nothing came out and I got terrified of busting my stitches so I stopped trying. This feeling of needing to go but having nothing to get out has been continuing since 2 PM yesterday and I am miserable.
I take two colace daily, have stopped taking the oxycodone I was prescribed because it does not help, took 60 mL of milk of magnesia with plenty of water yesterday... nothing.
I've been eating very light and not a lot - oatmeal, fruit, some salad, crackers, soup... I feel as though since surgery I've certainly ate enough for a bowel movement but nothing seems to want to exit.
I'm absolutely terrified to bust my stitches if I keep pushing and trying
I don't know what to do
Any comments and advice appreciated ! 😘??

I had a hemorrhoidectomy almost 5 weeks ago now. Here is my advice for you which worked beautifully for me as I had no issue with going to the bathroom post surgery despite being on major pain killers that constipate. If you follow this, you will surely go without having to push at all;
Remember, do this every day while taking your pain meds as you will need them!
- 2 Colace (am and pm)
- 6 prunes
- 1 Apple
- 1 Omega 3 pill
- capful of Miralax
- 1 T MCT oil blended in coffee with 1T butter and 1T vanilla extract. Blend with coffee or tea in the morning and you will get a nice, frothy latte. You can buy MCT oil at Whoke Foods.
- 64oz of water!!! This is an absolute must!
If you are eating light and healthy foods, you will definitely have a bowel movement without a problem. And don’t worry about ripping your stitches. They are strong and your stool will be loose.
Good luck! It will get better!

I think the feeling of fullness and needing to go is from the swelling. I've been having the feeling too, but I know I dont need to go yet since I had really small bites.

Thank you all so very much for your reply!
I'm not sure that what I had done is considered a full hemmerhoidectomy though that's what they officially termed it -- but holy Jesus - I feel so awful for anyone who has a condition even a smidge worse than mine!!!
The end of tonight will be the end of my third day post surgery and I was absolutely miserable yesterday afternoon into today with radiating pain... and for the record, I'm kind of a tough Italian cookie when it comes to pain! They told me acetaminophen and oxycodone only .. neither of which did anything to edge the pain. I know ibuprofen can lead to bleeding but I popped 400 mg of it a couple hours ago and the relief has been absolutely insane in comparison to the acetaminophen -- wowww.
I live clean in terms of alcohol/smoking... never been drunk in my life (I know, weird) but because of that... things like anesthesia really mess me up. I have been feeling so emotional and sad, I think from after effects of medication
So I'm glad that the pain is subsiding with the ibuprofen but I still have not passed a bowel movement. I'm taking Metamucil and two colace a day - haven't taken any of the milk of magnesia yet -- going to do another dose tonight. But this afternoon I felt those same pressures - like something moving down my colon and then when it got to the end and ready to expel I would tense up and the pain made me keel over. I hopped in and out of the shower four times as it's the only thing that relieves that pain when I feel that bowel pressure. I ate a little more than normal today because I'm wondering if there's not enough in my system for my body to form stools but I don't know.
Ugh - if I could just pass some stool -- I think I would mentally and physically feel much better from this
You are all warriors!!! 💗💗
