hi everyone, i am 13 days post op from a hemmorhoidectomy (1 external) and a lateral sphincterotomy. I still have this light yellow discharge (does not smell like poo) and a bit of swelling on the same area where I had my external removed and it looks like another hemmorhoid?! it would flare up when I sit for a long period of time and would shrink when I use ice packs. the swelling started 7 days post op and im freaking out right now. Please let me know if anyone out there is experiencing the same thing!!

I am now day 12 post surgery. Each day it gets slightly less bad. I am able to urinate standing up and I can push some. I still have the urge to p**s almost constantly. Anal leakage has become very slight now. Half way through the day I've made it to the bathroom every time. Second day so far though not yet in a row.

Day 11 I have my first almost normal p**s in the morning. Then I had a BM with visible turds for the first time. I showered and used the hose like a bidet. Then several minutes after the shower I exploded in my adult diaper. Ah well, I was clean for a few minutes.

The stronger of the pain meds runs out in 2 more days. Ouch but it should allow me to work remotely.

Day 2-3 were the worst. About 4 AM I woke up having to go. It was an hour of shrieking in pain and plenty of blood. Then 6-7 AM was another round with less blood and that second time my neighbors might not have heard me crying out.

I was warned this would be a miserable experience. If I do stop having pain at every BM and blood at every other BM then it will have been worth it. My wife asks me why I'm panting. My answer was it's the pain. The goal is to no longer need that conversation.

hi everyone just wanted to give a little update. i am 4 weeks post op and things have been great so far. swelling has reduced, i now have normal BM's which doesnt hurt, and barely any discharge now. I'm pretty much living a normal life now, compared to the constant pain I had before the operation. Things will get better guys! Just push through the pain because it'll definitely get better! Pro tip is to actually eat a lot of food guys because not eating at all will make your stool size small which can cause constipation. Drink PLENTY of water I mean I drink like 4L of water everyday because that'll will help lubricate your poo, drink metamucil or any fiber supplement daily with LOTS of water, and consume fruits and veggies (but not too much and not too late at night because through my personal experience, not drinking after eating fiberous foods will make me more constipated when I have my BM. Best of luck guys!
