Hemmorhoids/Fissure Only or..?

Hello,

I'm not diagnosed, but would like to ask you guys if you have similar simptoms and to hear your opinion on my current situation.

I'm 36 year old male, married, of good health, eating healthy, don't smoking/drinking, exercise from time to time. Have 2 bowel movements most of days, sometimes 3. Stools are normal formed most of time, loose from time to time. Never watery dhiarrea.

- It all started with some anal ich 5 years ago or so. I still have some itch around my anus from time to time.

- Last year I noticed a few drops of fresh blood in the toiled 2 times. A few times there was some fresh blood on stool

- For the last one year I have some mucus with every bowel movement. Whie or yellow mucus attached to the first piece of stool which comes out. Sometimes there is some clear mucus with the last piece of stool. Its tea spoon amount or less.

- Delayed pain after bowel movements. Last year pain was more intesive than recently. It starts usually 30 minutes after a bm and lasts for next few hours. Discomfort and pain in anus. Last year I had that pain for 6 months or so. After a few months without it, pain after bm started this year again, but its not that intesive. Sometimes pain is there, but on some days I'm free of it.

I don't have any belly pains. Maybe some discomfort on the left side of belly button. Something like gas caused pain/discomfort. It comes and goes from time to time, usually do not last long.

- Recently I noticed some blood mixed with mucus and that's what worry me the most. There are very tiny traces of blood in mucus which is attached to stool. To be honest I wouldn't notice it If I didn't examined it with with a torch. Not sure if hemorrhoids can cause blood in mucus?

- Sometimes I have electric shock like pain in my anus. It lasts only for a second. Most of time it affect anus only but sometimes it feels like electric shock which connect my belly button and anus. This is happening maybe once a month or so.

So, to sum it up... I have mucus with every bowel movement, anal pain which lasts a few hours after bowel movements, small amounts of blood in mucus from time to time.

I'm really worried this could be something more serious than hemorrhoids or a fissure.

How all this sounds to you? Could it be a beginning of Chron or Collitis, some kind of cancer?

Go to the doctors and tell him/her everything, just to be safe. I've heard that mucus can be more visible when dehydrated, so try and drink a couple of litres of water a day.

    Good luck.

Good idea. I used to think that I'm drinking enough water, but actually I'm not. Will try to hydrate myself better to see if mucus will be less visible. Thanks!

If you wanna make sure your hydrated drink 1oz per pound.

Example if your 200lbs drink 200 ounces, your kidneys can filter up to 7 gallons a day. Human body is insane...

Wow, I'm drinking like 0.5 Oz per lbs... Definitely will try to take more water!

You still need to consult with doc. I've been battling these things for close to 20 years always embarrased to go to doc, but know I do what ever it takes because pain can get so extreme... coming up to my 6th week recovery from surgery, and the sad thing is that is was all preventable with the rite diet and hydration...

Anal pain that last for few hours can be a fissure however you will need to be checked out

Yes, that's what I found online so far. Delayed pain after BM is often associated with fissures.

I think you need to speak with a professional soon. Not to scare you however that sounds alot like what my grandmother c/o and she wound up diagnosed with colon ca. Please don't delay in speaking at least on a nurse line if you cannot make time to see a GOOD Dr. Research, research, research....there are alot of Dr.'s that are not responsible practitioners. Good luck and God bless!

Of course that's a possibility which scares me the most. However I think this is something more related

To my anus/rectum. I'm very regular, never have problems with constipation, dhiarhea, no cancer history in family. I'm not super young but chances for colon c. at 36 are not very high. But you're definitely right about one thing - I should seek for professional help. The problem is I'm kind of hypochondriac and I'm afraid of being diagnosed...

Dude if It was a fissure you would know it, sounds like a nice case of roids... Whatch what you eat, I know the years pass by, but you have to go to doc, I know it is super embarrassing but your health comes first. Look in my 43 years I've experienced just about everything this world could throw at you, having a fissure is definitely the worst along with internal hems. Please go to colon specialist to get checked out, to me it sounds like you have internal hems.....

That's what I hope for. Roids are something I can live with. Actually I checked myself with a mirror. At the opening of my anus there are two small bumps, skin over them are red and looks inflamed. It looks like purple veins are inside these bumps and around them. I guess these could easily be hemmorhoids. Just not sure if skin over them looks red and inflamed. I think there are some visible veins little deeper inside my anus, it you know, it's not very easy to check yourself on that way...

Do people with internal hemorrhoids have mucus on stool? Can they be the cause of some blood in mucus? How long hemorrhoids last? Is it possible to have problems with them for months?

As I said on the beginning my lifestyle is pretty healthy except for prolonged sitting.

Yes I have experienced the mucus for many years, hydration is the key, absolutely no flour until you heal up, if you keep a good high fiber diet with plenty of fluids you can keep at bay. I find that dairy and white bleached flour makes symptoms 10 times worst.. Also try some vaseline around you know where to make b.m. more comfortable....

Oh, and yes sitting for long periods of time can cause this mess your dealing with, sitting for long periods of time interferes with blood flow in that area, that's why roids are very coming in drivers and desk workers.. In my case I'm a driver with a poor diet so I got the double whammy...hahahahaha...please keep us posted on your diagnosis...

Yes, I have a small online business so I'm sitting in the front of computer for years. I'm trying to exercise and to move, but that's like one hour of exercising, one hour of walking and 10 hours of sitting sad

You said you have mucus in your stool as well. Could you please describe it? How much, how often, how it looks? smile
