Hemmoroidectomy

hello everyone,

I am 9 days post op on my hemmoroidectomy surgery and I am literally dying. My pain is intolerable. Ive already had my BM on day 6 after taking half a bottle of miralax. I have been BM every day but they are very liquidy. I am only on stool softners, Tynelol and Sit baths. Idk what else to do to remove this pressure feeling of going to the bathroom and pain everytime I go. I literally dread it. Does anyone have any recommendations?

    Hi Jessica, I absolutely feel your pain 😪 I'm on day 19 and omg it can only be described as torture and barbaric. I've found sleep is the best thing as I might be throbbing like hell but I close the curtains, put an eye mask on and try to force sleep. I find the total relaxation helps settle things a little. Keep dosed up on the medication, avoid beans like the plague as the gas is just not helpful and don't put too much pressure on yourself. Listen to your body and rest. This journey is just like nothing I could have ever imagined but it is improving, soooo slowly, but it is.

    I went back to A & E twice as the pain was intolerable and morphine was my new friend so if you can get your hands on some of that it was the only thing that worked a treat.

    Keep soaking in the bath after every BM and use nappy rash cream for the bum sores.
