hemorrhoidectomy recovery complications. is this normal?

I had a hemorrhoidectomy two and a half months ago and developed anal stenosis. I am 4 weeks out from an anal dialation and struggling still. Does anyone know how long the spasming and straining and swelling last? My stools are bigger than before but just as difficult to push out, often getting stuck. ouch, ouch ouch!! How long does this last????? is this normal?

Also, what fiber/stool softeners do you all use? I go 4 times a day now which feels insane to me but if i back off the softeners I get very constipated. I'd like to find balance.

also does the external ever heal? its still so sensitive i dread whipping. I'd like to find light at the end if the tunnel. i feel like my life has changed so drastically.

    I feel your pain!! This is the second time ive had this operation it is excruciating. Im 2 weeks in and spasms started ouch! I never had this the first time I am bkaming the Lactulose so stopped it today I find LAXIDO 2 sachets daily works well. I find the stools smaller too.

    I now have open wound on outside which paramedic said will heal. Have sitz baths they help so much . This promotes blood flow helping to heal.
