Hemorrhoids for a 26 year old

Normally a healthy 26 year old.

Attended a doc in Jan Feb time about rectal bleeding.

Did a rectal exam and couldn't see anything and put it down to a fissure and advised to make a dietary change.

Fast forward still experiencing this along with a fungal skin infection around the groin which is thankfully lifting.

It's mostly painless rectal bleeding very odd time you can feel the motion rough but very rare. When I have a smooth and soft motion there's hardly any blood to a minimal amount belut if I pass a harder motion there could be anything again from a small amount to sometimes quite a bit.

With it being painless would this not suggest some internal hemorrhoids? I've tried anusol suppository which when I did try bleeding wasnt that much?

Can blood vary with internal hemorrhoids?

I said in the appointment I googled and did my own research but without pain, lose of weight and of course a young age on my side it would highly unlikley at the age of 26 to warrant a scope.

I had this, sometimes when I went to the toilet and my stools were hard, id feel a really quick sharp scratch type of pain and then there would be loads of blood in the toilet. sometimes there was that much blood that the toilet water was dark red and couldn't see the bottom. it happened for a couple of days at a time then cleared up for a couple of months then it would happen again. I left it for 2 years until I rang the gp about 3 weeks ago and told him what was happening. he said it sounded like internal piles but wouldn't see me due to covid 19 but he did prescribe me some laxido which is a stool softener and since then there's been no more blood and going to the toilet has been a lot easier

im now having a lot less blood (still a small smear) but defintely a lot loss but more pain. Whats your thoughts on the use of vaseline?

Went to the toilet tonight and just needed to release gas (never like to misjudge one) and felt like a popping sensation and there was some blood which i had expected. Guessing now a pile is acting up

but views on vaseline or coconut oil applied to anus?

I can't really comment on the vaseline or coconut oil has i havent tried it so I'm not sure if that would help. I have used anusol ointment, it comes with a nozzle that you can attach to the tube so you can apply it internally. you can feel it soothing the irritated area inside as soon as it goes in so I would definatly recommend it! I used it in the morning, after a bath and before bed. and also after any bowel movement. glad to hear your bleeding is slowing down, once it's stopped bleeding I recommend using a stool softener for a while so it's completely healed inside and there's less chance of it happening again

    Hi,

Internal Hemorrhoids cannot be felt on examination as they are too soft. Many GP's and a Consultant have told me this over the years. People tend to panic when nothing is found on DRE but the chances of it being hemorrhoids is just the same as it was before you walked into the clinic. Do you have any other symptoms other than the bleeding?

Other than weight gain, none though still normal weight for my height ! The only pain I've ever had was when I was on stool softener and that played havoc on my stomach! But stopped 4 or 5 days after i stopped it

Could internal hemorrhoids last this long? When I spoke to the gp she said everything was fine and age is on my side (27) have tried hemorrhoid stuff but they don't seem to lift it, we'll maybe reduced the bleeding a bit

Hemorrhoids can last for weeks and never actually go away. I have external hems and suspect i've also had internal in the past, I've had a mixture of symptoms including rectal pressure, burning and muscus discharge but not everybody has this.

I have the same thing for nearly 20 years. Periods of rectal bleeding with no pain and no other symptoms. Doctor says its likely internal hemorrhoids. As I have gotten older now 37 they last longer. I've had them for 6 to 7 weeks straight then they go away for months.
