Hemorrhoids Please Help!

Posted , 6 users are following.

I have had severe anal itching for a year and 8 months. I've gotten surgery for an external hemorrhoid. Colonoscopy shown internal hemorrhoids. I was wondering if anyone has ever experinced tickiling/crawling like sensations with hemorrhoids? Possibly leakage causing it? Because sometimes there is moisture around anus. My doctor has tested for parasites 3 times the tests were all negative. I don't know what else to do and I'm depressed! Any help or suggestions?

Hi. I've suffered with piles for 19 years, both internal and external. Along with the pain and soreness I also experienced itching - like a family of ants crawling around your rectum!! Not nice. I am now two weeks down the line after having had the HALO operation and hoping I've seen the end of piles but time will tell. With itching, like Maria said, salt baths do help. I also have a sitz bath which sits on the toilet bowl which u fill with water to sit in after a bowel movement. I also tried putting a little witch hazel in too. Must b pure though and contain no alcohol. Apparently alcohol can make itching worse. I've also just purchased cooling gel packs for piles which you put in the area to ease pain and swelling. Best thing for me through this op and for soreness itching and pain are definitely the baths. One thing to check is if u have anal fissures. Small tears. I had these and had them injected with Botox same time as my op. Giving me bit of jip now but baths r my remedy! Good luck x

Thank you for the reply! I appreciate it! I am going to see a specialist today I can't wait to see what they say. I am now pregnant so I am sure many of their options will be limited. But I plan on getting surgery again after the baby is born if this is still continued. I have the same sensations as you it is a miserable thing to deal with. Praying yours is better after you heal!

Many congratulations! Great news for you. Good luck with the specialist. They may b able to give u a topical treatment to ease the itching. I'm awaiting call back from my docs as cream I've been prescribed to help with pain isn't helping so hopefully I can have a replacement that will do the trick. Been home for two weeks now and perish the thought of having to drive or leave the house. I can't say at this stage if I wd recommend the op and don't want to say too much in case this is the choice you make but I wd say make sure u allow yourself enough recovery time and make sure all the drugs and pain relief suits you. Especially with a young baby and if u r considering breast feeding. Lots of luck to you xx

Hi I've suffered the same on and off for quite few years now. I've got internal piles and the itchiness drives me bananas. I've had piles injected twice and it has provided relief but then itchiness came back again. Over the years I've used bento ate, in case eczema was causing it but as it thins the skin only short term solution. I've also been prescribed Prosectdyl ointment which has slight anaestic in it and also suppositories which do help a little, again only short term use. I find sometimes itching worse in a night time so I take dose of Piriton about an hour before bed and it seems to help. I also bought worming tablets aswell although I knew I hadn't got worms but was desperate that I would try anything. Lastly, have you tried bad of frozen peas or ice cubes wrapped in towel and put between your bum cheeks, it'll help cool down the area and freeze it for a while!

I too have been prescribed the ointment and suppositories following a complicated HALO op and Botox injections for fissures. I have found it does help. Piriton is a great idea Izzy. I also have haemoroid gel ice packs I bought from Amazon. Come in handy little case with two in so you always have one at the ready. Shaped like an orange slice they are perfectly shaped for the area! Good luck. X

Hi. I think that is just normal as it bleeds bcoz of the seizure. I had bleeding too just days ago. At first, i did not notice. And thought it was just my poo. But then the next time i had BM, there is drip again after. So i look at it in the light, and saw that it was not a wet poo but blood. But it does not hurt.

I got scared and googled what it could be and what i could do. And i found out about hemorrhoids and anal seizures and colon cancer.

I was reallly scared and disappointed bcoz i dont drink nor smoke. i just started working and i thought, all my pays would only get to operations and medicines. Or worse could not continue working anymore.

But thank God for this forum, i learned i am not alone in this situation. And it is not a rare case. And could not be really serious.

I did not resort to check up or doctor at once. Bcoz i have read one comment that it would go away in few days. Only needed to eat more fiber and water.

I did that. No meat in my food list. Water therapy. Do not force too much in BM. And after two days no more blood after poo.

I am relieved. Thank God. Just pray and dont think too much about it.
