    Hi Santoro

Are you in the acute phase of a recent infection or have you just found out you have had Hep B for some time?

Are you currently on any medication for the virus?

There is no unique diet to help with hepatitis.  However to help your liver while it is under attack from Hep B you can do a few things.

    1) Drink no alcohol

    2) Dont drink sugary fizzy drinks

    3) Cut down or cut out sugar

    4) Cut down on fats and change from saturated fats to olive oil

    5) Research 'anti-inflammatory' foods

    6) Cook and eat foods prepared from fresh, avoid convenience foods which tend to have hidden sugar and salt

    7) Cut down on salt and replace with herbs and spices for flavour.

    8) Dont eat any food that gives you indegestion or makes you feel sick

      Hi.

To answer your question: - An ultrasound test made by me for profilactic purpose showed that my liver was much bigger that usual, which I've been advised to have the test for Hepatitis. It showed - HepB poz viral ( visual signs - yellow in the eyes with red, tiredness after 30 min walk). That was in December 2014(is been said NO special diet needed- opposed advice found while doing some research). January I got a 3 months treatment. June new tests showed the same results( Advice- NO special diet needed as not for any help). Now on 3 months waiting list to the specialist again( if I will not die by then).

Tks for you suggestion, as I understand that this diet is not fighting Hepatitis but is just a help for liver.

If is any websites or info, please post it to me.

      Best Regards.....

Hi again. It sounds as though you were diagnosed during the acute phase where the docs wait a while to see if your body clears the virus and there is no clinical treatment. However you are now past the 6 month period where, if you have a test that says you still, have the active virus you are now what is called chronic. Now your body will not clear the virus and you near medication to remain well. The most common medication is Lamivudine but there are other anti virals drugs. Medication is now much much more important than diet. Diet will help your overall health, but will not cure the virus nor will it stop the damage Hep B does to your liver. Please consult your doctor and ask to be tested again for a viral load and then put on appropriate medication.
