    Hi Kelly,

Sorry to disappoint you but I have the rash on my face. My herald patch started on my right hip. PR can start with a cold, just keep a look out for anymore coming up on her trunk.

    Keep us all posted x

Poor thing! I know exactly how she feels! I've had it 4 weeks now and still breaking out each day. It's the itch I can't stand! My doctor said it will clear up within 6 weeks but it doesn't look like it's getting better anytime soon. And didn't recommend anything to put on it. I've tried everything I've seen people suggest but it just makes it worse!

I had Pr for 4 months..though mine was non itchy and non painful..just nasty looking ....I was precribed cortico steroid cream ( special concentraion which the chemist had to make up) and i just slathered it on over my entire body..I was covered from shoulder to my ankles..even had patches on palms..I was also on oral coricosteroids for another health issue..and PR cleared but has left my skin with dark blotches ...unslightly..

I dont know if this was  coincidence but I went on a cruise for 6 days and didnt really look at my rash (though looked like lesions as they started to merge )and when i came home...they had all disappeared....so stress prolongs them?? Or pollution free air got rid of them?? For the 6 days of the cruise I didnt put any cream on me..just took the steroid teblets..

    Hi,

I will be the first to tell you that IT CAN be on the face!  My daughter was diagnosed with it last Tuesday, and hers started on her face (cheek).  She had quite a few patches on both cheeks, then it spread to her neck and chest.  Also, my daughter also had a cold before being diagnosed with this .... BUT my concern is why did my whole family break out if it's not contagious???  sad

oh no...the whole family got it?? no one on these sites have mentioned any1 else contracting it !! In my case ..i was the only 1 ....hubby had to put on cream on areas on my body i couldnt reach .....even he didnt get it.

I had 1 or 2 tiny patches on my cheeks but i put that down probably something i had before and was getting paparnoid and noticing it now.

i thing i did notice was that a mother wart on my stomach which had disappeared before i got PR reappeared with a vengence...2x the size and thickness and black in colour...luckily it has gone again leaving a black patch...

Some researchers  says it is linked to a family of virus (cant remember which )
