Hi, I am always looking for alternative treatments for crohns since most of the ones recommended by the hospital or GP's generally have bad side effects. Looking on-line there was a comment recently about "advanced turmeric" capsules. Has any one on the forum used these and if so what where the results

I think I’m similar to yourself, I’ve not had much in the way of medication since surgery 30 odd years ago.  At that time I made my own live yogurt each day for nearly a year and went to a healer, who declared she couldn’t cure me, no one could, but she’d help me be as good as I could get.  I also controlled my diet very carefully.  I still take cats claw when I’m feeling under the weather but I’ve never tried turmeric.  Anything is worth a go.  Let’s face it, you’re the one suffering, not the medical profession.  I’m just beginning to get joint probs which my GP dismisses as age related, hmmm it doesn’t explain how erratic they are, going from being unable to hold a knife to peeling endless veg for a meal all in the same day.
