Hernia? IBS? Endometriosis?

Hi all

So for the past 2 years i have suffered with various gut issues, bloating, occasional nausea, constipation, mucus in stools, cramps. The past 8 months or so though, i started to get this pulling sensation in the lower left hand side of my abdomen, near my belly button. Its hard to explain the feeling exactly but its like a tearing feeling or like something is going to rip when i sneeze or stretch, its difficult to even sit up from a lying down position as it feels like something is going to tear. It only lasts a few days and is typically around the time of my period. I have had lots of tests over the past 2 years, blood work, stool sample, abdominal ultrasound, pelvic ultrasound, abdominal and pelvic CT scan. Everything comes back clear. My doctor was stumped so referred me to my gyno who did my c section as he felt it could be scar tissue from that procedure ( 5 years ago) After my appt with my gyno he initially was thinking hernia until i told him it was around my period and then he leant to endometriosis. He has put me back on birth control for the past 3-4 months and i still get the tearing sensation each month, not for as long but its still there. Everyday i fell bloated though, uncomfortable and just irritable because i dont have answers. I guess my question is, has anyone had these symptoms or is having these symptoms and if so what was your diagnosis?

Thank you 😃

Have you had a ultrasound? It could be a cyst on your ovaries . I get mid cycle cramps ovulation time I had ultrasound it was discovered I have a "ovulation cyst" on my right ovary . Pain / cramps only occur around ovulation time .

hi kileen, it could be ovarian, pelvic or IBS related. ibs certainly worsens for women each month. track what food does to you without symptoms of periods each month. that may give you your answer if not go back to your doctor!

The doctor has said that if it doesn't improve over the next 3 months of me being on birth control then he is going to do a laparoscopy. Its just this weird feeling each month of this tearing sensation that causes me to worry. All of my scans, ultrasounds, blood work etc have all been clear.
