Hernia mesh pain after exercise, is the mesh torn?

Posted , 2 users are following.

hello,

I've had a mesh operation for a hernia in my groin six weeks ago.

A few days ago I did a leg workout (without weights) and ever since I have had pain in the area of the hernia, it has gotten less the past two days though. But today all of a sudden i woke up with pain in my upper leg when i move, as if i tore the muscle. (at the part that connects to the hernia.) Could the mesh possibly have torn or moved, even after six weeks of healing?

    Hi there,

I honestly don't think anyone can answer this here. However, it would be best to go see your doctor/surgeon. They should be able to tell or order an Ultrasound/other tests for you.
