herpes?

So I had an encounter with a new partner who was confirmed with HSV1 over a year ago, I came and posted on this forum. The episode was on 18th June 2017, in which I got flu like symptoms, burning sensations on lips and buttocks etc. I worried it was herpes, I had many discussion on here supported by test results on iGG blood tests all showing negative, in July, October, and then March the following year so last test at around 8 months on so I’d convinced myself that I was negative.

I’ve since had a partner for around 4 months now, we perform oral and unprotected sex. Last week I felt tingling in my penis, pulled back the foreskin and there was red marks and a rash type on the head. I hadn’t noticed it until I pulled the foreskin back, now I’m wondering if this could actually be a first breakout of herpes?

It may have been poor hygiene as I’d been away camping for the week and hadn’t really had chance to clean. I had a shower the day I discovered the redness and the next morning it had really died down as shown in the pictures.

Can any one help to tell me if the rash type looks anything like herpes? Thanks

    Itchy? Tingling? Painful?

Tingling, not really itchy and no pain.

I had a bit of tingling which caused me to look, then I saw the redness, had a shower and in the morning it was pretty much gone but that could just be a coincidence of the herpes going?

A igg blood test? Probably not worth doing a swab now it’s gone? Or should I?

When are these considered accurate? I’ve had one 8 months after the encounter and current partner is negative.

If no lesions now so no need to swab.

Do igg for herpes 1&2. 8 months is enough to see.

Dont count on your partner results.

      Good luck

It looks like it to me. Seemly HSV1 swabs come back as negative alot.

Ive bought a propolis based cream made from honeybees and its really helped me with the healing.

I hope you feel better soon. X

I visited a sexual health nurse (who wasn’t a specialist) who said that it was likely to be dermatitis, from the look of it plus the fact that after showering it pretty much disappeared. I have done another IGG this morning, should know the results in a couple days.
