Herpes 1 and babies

Yesterday I had a pimple (so i thought) near my lip and i didn't think anything of it (this is the first time ive ever had a cold sore). I continued to care for my 7 week old daugher, kissing on the cheek and testing the temperature of the milk by taking a sip from the bottle. I woke up this morning to see that the pimple was definitely not a pimple as it grew and was very obviously a cold sore.

Should I be concerned for my daughter? what steps should I take now? I went to a doctor for myself before i recalled what I had done yesterday. I got the cream for myself and the doctor told me to avoid contact with my daughter. It was only when I got home I remembered that I had taken a sip from her bottle.
