Herpes 2 after sexual assault... please help?

Hi all,

I have been going through the worst period of my life and am seeking some answers. One month ago, I was sexually assaulted. 6 days after, I developed about 8 pimples on my labia lips. I am not prone to getting ingrown hairs or pimples there, so I suspected something is wrong but ignored it as there were no other symptoms. A few days later, I felt small electric shocks in my genital area. This increased to spread to my legs (especially upper thighs), lower back, arms, and even my face, lips, and eyes. After doing research, I was convinced that I acquired herpes 2 even though the onset/timing of symptoms was not usual.

I performed a blood test 12 days after the assault, and got a negative result. However, this was too soon. At the 3 week point, I got a viral culture swab which also came back negative... but this can be inaccurate as no liquid particles were swabbed and it was after the bumps healed slightly.

I visited two family physicians and both visually deemed it to not look like herpes. However, I just learned that my assaulter has herpes 2. Combined with my symptoms and the fact that my immune system was compromised at the assault (extremely drunk), should I give up false hope that perhaps I do not have it...?

Some other info: I took Valtrex 2000 mg a day for a week and it didn't seem to help.

Disgarding the picture and focusing on the facts is what I'd appreciate people to do as not every herpes blister looks the same anyway.

Picture is not clear but from what I can see it does not look like a herpes blister wait a few weeks and test again. You may also want to test for other std's also.

I'm aware the picture isnt clear, but I'd rather have people focus on the facts rather than what it looks like

I tested negative for everything including HSV 1 and 2 but that is because I didn't have enough time to form antibodies (12 days after the assault).

Everything from a pee test was negative.

i am so sorry to hear what happened to you. it does not look like it in pic but unfortuanlly you have to wait 16 weeks or so from exposure to see. if you develop anymore get to doc asap to swab. prayers to you , you will get through this
