Herpes

I was just now diagnosed with herpes. I met this guy, he was fun to talk to , very understanding and full of a big heart when we first met. I would look for anything concerning around his private areas but I never saw anything. one time I saw him scratching down there but it was around his pubic hairs. I'm sure he knew he had something because I mean we can just feel when something's wrong with our body. It started off as a yeast infection (which that is what the urgent care doctor said), so I used monistat 7. A lot of confusing symptoms started about 5 days after I had sex with a different guy.. At the time I wasn't really worrying about catching anything , especially not Herpes. I left him because unfortunately he was on drugs. It was just confirmed today that I have Type 1 and 2 Herpes.

A lot of people carry the herpes virus and don't know about it, especially men they can have outbreaks with virtually no symptoms and since it can only be tested by swab if an outbreak is active it wouldn't show on a regular screening.

So either of the guys could have given it to you unintentionally.

How do you feel about the diagnosis?

I figured it was just something small. didn't think it would be this big of a problem but now it's something I have to love with

i believe that you did not get 2 types of herpes from this same person, and scratching down doesnt mean herpes.

I got an external swab. I know for a fact I have both type 1 & 2 herpes.

but you are probably right about getting both from the same person . I'm not sure about that.
