Herpes as a virgin?

Posted , 2 users are following.

I went to a doctor to check a infected pimple I had down there and she also looked at one bump I had ( which was probably there for at least 3 weeks or a month w no change) and told me it might be herpes... but the problem is that I'm a complete virgin! I never had any sort of oral (given or received) or skin to skin contact either.

I did have a bump appearing down  there some times before and  went to a doctor and she told me it was folliculitis. Just a day after I went to this doctor ( that told me I may have herpes) I went to my first doctor and she looked at everything again ( even with a magnifying glass) and she said she couldn't see anything that looked like herpes to her. I also went the next day to a third doctor ( a dermatologist especialized in STIs this time) and he looked and said that didn't see anything either  and taking the fact that I'm a virgin,  he didn't think it was herpes. What do you guys think? What are the odds of a total virgin get genital herpes?  Taking the fact that I never had sex, wouldn't it be more wise to look at other options first before diagnose someone with herpes? I did take a blood test  ( Herpes I and II LgM LgG and  the results aren't out yet), but taking into account that this exame doesn't especify which type of herpes I may have,I'm terrified of get a positive for herpes and they all assume it's down there ( even tho HSV 1 is so easily spreaded, and a lot of ppl have it even w/o symtomps). What should I do? What can I do to know if I have genital herpes?

    This is the most absurd post I have ever read. 1. If you're a virgin (as u stated), there's no way in hell you can have HERPES. You're wasting your time and our time on this site of you've REALLY NEVER HAD SEX. People on here are dealing with a real life situation and here you go with bs, child please

      I'm sorry! It was never my intention to offend anyone of you guys, but I couldn't find another place where I could get some information about this.  But as a said, a doctor did told I may have herpes down there, so as someone who never had sex ( u can believe me on that, I have no reason to lie about this), I got really scared! I just wanted to know what are the odds of something like this happening and what could I say to my first doctor? I'm sorry if it hurted you, I wasn't my intetion! I just scared! ;-;

      I'm not offended, I just think it's really unheard of to get genital herpes w/o having sex. That is the only way to get it is either oral or genital, there's no other way. Please read up on herpes

      This is what everyone is telling me. And that's also what I told the first doctor, but she keeping telling me it has nothing to do with sex and so on.

      I've been researching everywhere and that what I've been reading about. GH is only spread by genital touch, rubing, sex, or oral w someone who is infected w the virus.

      But then again, the first doctor did told I might have herpes, so theres no way I wouldn't be scared about this. Even more as someone who never had sex.

      Do you think it is possible?

      Again, thanks for your answers and sorry if it seems a little off place.
