Herpes as well

Does anyone else have herpes as well? I have not had a herpes outbreak in a decade but recently began having sex with a new partner and currently have a painful herpes outbreak. Doctor said it may have been caused by using the clobetasol after sex. This is so frustrating that one treatment can cause a flare up of another issue. Any recommendations on how to keep the herpes at bay are greatly appreciated! I also haven't yet found a lubricant that doesn't burn. Suggestions?
