Herpes behind foreskin

Posted , 3 users are following.

I have been diagnosed with herpes and I get them behind my foreskin and the head of the penis my trouble is I think it's because of the area I get it it's taking along time to heal even with meds I'm just finishing a course of 5 pills a day for 5 days after this I start on an attempt of suppression 1 pill twice a day because as soon as 1 goes it appears somewhere else

Does anyone have any advice to help healing them

Thanks for any advice

Which type do you have and is this a first outbreak, recurrence, etc.?

Oh, that really sucks! Do you get several lesions at a time?

If you are taking 5 pills a day, it sounds like you're on acyclovir. Have you ever tried valacyclovir? It delivers more of the drug directly and has better absorption. Some people find it more effective, plus it requires only 2 pills a day. Costs a bit more, but is available in generic form at least, and worth a shot.

I like applying diluted tea tree oil, but to help dry out the lesions and speed up healing, try dusting cornstarch on the lesions. Also, bathing the area in a shallow tub of Epsom salts, but don't overdo it, as it can apparently be too drying if you soak too often. A lot of people swear by the latter, and cornstarch also makes sense given the location of your lesions.

Yeah its acyclovir and tomorrow I start on a pill in the morning and 1 at night 400 mg each pill to see if that helps and thanx I will look into what you have said

What is your exercise/diet regimen like? Herpes is fueled by argenine(common in chocolate, peanuts, and coffee) and your body uses lysine to fuel the antibody (common in cows milk, and red meat).

I get a similar response while on meds. You may want to consider building a natural immunity before throwing meds at it.

How are your bowels? If you are having hot stinky diarrhea, look into a good acupuncture and herbs practitioner in the area. Focus in the herbs and diet, good luck friend!

If not bowels, urine hot and stinky... Or yellow semen may also suggest "damp heat in your lower jiao"

My diets terrible lol and stress if off the scale 😟 I never thought a rash would cost me my wife kids and home

Sorry to hear about your other troubles. rolleyes Prolonged high stress is certainly not helpful (regular stress is not so bad). Try to keep a balanced diet at least, maybe take a multivitamin, and avoid excessive alcohol. You don't need to eat certain foods and avoid others. Studies in people have been inconclusive and you won't find a reputable herpes expert/specialist promoting a special herpes diet, only a normal balanced one. Also, triggers vary widely across people. Of course, if you discover something that seems to help, go for it. Likewise, if you feel something is a repeat trigger, avoid it.

Thanx for the advice and help it means a lot in my low mood it is was it is I have herprs and seem to have them bad 😒 at first I was hoping it was going to go away or only visit once in a blue moon I really need help in something to try dry them out so they heal quicker I think because where they are they stay moist was wondering if getting Circumcised would possibly help just a thought but for the use it is now I might as well have the whole thing chopped off 😏 can't believe my favourite toy is broken for good 😐

I was thinking circumcision, too, but didn't want to say, as some "intact" men get upset at the idea, lol. It is also rather an extreme step. Better to see if valacyclovir and a balanced diet help first, plus give it a couple of years. You may find that your recurrences will lessen or change location in that time. The first year is supposed to be the worse (and most infectious, incidentally).

Do you have anyone (besides here) to talk to about this? Not just the herps, but what happened with your wife, etc.? Not talking about a therapist either, just a trusted friend or family member. You are going through a lot, and I know men have a tendency to just "deal with things" rather than talk, but it may help with the stress, etc. Otherwise you can try us out on this forum more often. smile Certainly makes it less isolating. Besides my #*!@!?&!! giver, I know nobody with this bl00dy virus besides on here, lol. (I'm also Type 2, btw.)

Lol yeah I will see if the mesds start to work but I've woke up this morning to what looks like another one appearing on the opposite side this thing just won't give me a break I must of been a real bad man in a past life 😏

And I don't know anyone with it either I look at people in the street thinking do you have it ?

And no I'm very much on my own worst thing is the kids are still young under 10 and have been told dad has a horrible disgusting disease and when they see him not to touch him 😑

One other thing I'm sure it's only a matter of time before my future X wife does me the honour of publicly announcing it on Facebook for me 😕

That is horrible about the kids, in particular! If she did any reading, she would know that you can't acquire Type 2 except via sex. I'm guessing she is just mad because she thinks your gHSV-2 is proof that you cheated, so she is now on a woman-scorned mission and using the kids to get back at you. Just a guess, mind you, and no need to admit/deny anything here in public, lol.

I also look at other people and wonder, but I still think it's just me, lol, because I'm not based in the US, where it's supposedly every 1 in 6/5/4/whatever. Sigh! I also think of some of the guys I know, who I know to be big players, and wonder about them, but I bet they're all fine (except my #!@*&!# giver), so why me?! Fml. P!sses me off at times, lol.

I'm not in U.S. Either but more people must have it than we think because at the chemist they have my prescription ready which makes me think it's a very popular drug 😏
