i have received several both negative and positive hsv2 test. if im taking daily antivirals (valtrex) can that cause a false negative in my blood test or would that not effect the blood test results?

yes it could cause it to be dormant and make it negative in the blood test. the virus is still alive in your system it is just dormant.

one doctor told me the meds dont affect the results while the other one told me it could so now im not sure if i even have it

Drugs won't affect your blood test after few months of say two and above. What they are actually testing for is antibody igg. Drugs won't make antibodies go away from your blood.

so if i got a negative blood showing i never had the infection, it would be safe to say i dont have it?
