I havent yet been diagnosed with herpes but I think its a strong possibility I may have it . Herpes doesnt mean your life is over & it doesnt make you disgusting . This is not the end for you or anyone else who may have it . Is it unfortunate ? Yes . Can it be scary ? Yes . Does it feel surreal ? Yes. Is it the end of your story ? No. Will it get better ? Yes . What doesnt kill you literally makes you stronger . Head up queen , I promise you , over time it gets better , you learn that you still will have a normal life & someone will still love you . I promise ❤️

i have just recently been diagnosed too, and i knew i had it before the test came back, so i just did lots of research to prepare myself. it is hard to get your head around, but what we need to remember is the stigma is worse than the infection itself. herpes is a skin condition - nothing more, nothing less. yes it can be physically very painful for some, but never let anyone make you feel like you should be disgusted in yourself. sex is a natural part of life, we all have it, and therefore all very much at risk of contracting herpes. people who have coldsores do not face the stigma, its purely looked negatively on genitals because of the area and because it is transmitted sexually. however, it is a very common skin condition... -and i hate to break it to them, but those people who make you believe you are disgusting have a very high chance of having the virus themselves and not knowing it. you being diagnosed already makes you a safer partner... because you can look out for the signs of the virus activating. fix your crown my queen, hold your head up high and smile ☺ #yougotthis #weallgotthis
