Herpes flare up or something else?

I was diagnosed with Herpes 8 months ago and haven't had any problems unitl now. Two weeks ago I thought I was suffering from thrush because I was red and swollen and thought nothing of it as it cleared in less than a week. I started my period 5 days ago and pads always give me irritantion but I'm not extremely itchy, the skin around my vagina is peeling and I have sores where I've been scratching. The glands in my groin are also a bit sore which is why I'm on the edge of thinking this is a herpes flare up but I'm not convinced?

first time someone has an outbreak they may also have flu-like symptoms such as fever, body aches, or swollen glands. Did you have any?

Your doctor may give antiviral treatment and if sores sheds in 1 week means its herpes outbreak.

This would be my second outbreak, and I don't have any of those things this time.

It doesn't look like herpes to me, but that doesn't mean that it's not or is unrelated. Hard to say without any sores. Normally herpes doesn't cause peeling, but I have seen a couple or so people on here complaining that they peeled (no photos, so I can't compare), though usually during their first outbreak. When in doubt, it's best to err on the side of caution. If it happens like this again, go to a doctor asap and get it swabbed (internally as well) for your own reference.
