Herpes in the scalp

I have had GH for 30 years and managed to not infect any other person in my life. However my GF of 7 years just got infected by me. I must not have withheld sex for the virus to close and become dormant.

She has had 3 OB's and been taking the suppressing medicine since the start. However the herpes attacks her back, foot, neck in addition to the genital areas.

The latest OB has been confined to her scalp, and although she been taking the suppresion medicine, it has not subsided and is driving her crazy with the itching. When we place cool packs in the area, she gets some relief. We also use Alcohol to rub on the affected area.

Can you comment on other persons that could have had this virus affect the scalp. Thank you.

Wow. Does she actually have outbreaks in all of these different areas?

My outbreaks happen the same way. my feet, my lower back, chest, scalp and palms all become super itchy. My scalp would itch so bad it would be hard to sleep at times. i known this may sound strange, but i started taking Rx version of claritin and it helped with the itching. Im not sure if its a mind over matter type thing or what. nothing the doctor gave me helped with the ob's.
