Herpes Line

I posted before but here's some back info. Been married for 13 years never had one sign of a outbreak not my husband. About 3 weeks ago we had sex, I woke up the next morning feeling very sore in my vagina/butt area. Didn't thibk much of it because we were kinds rough & I was a but dry. Skip to a few days later. I started experiencing itching and just feeling irritated in both my vagina & butt crack so I thought maybe yeast infection. Treated myself with an OTC cream and it did nothing. I went to see my doctor convinced i had herpes from googling (i never knew it could stay dormant for years). He said he saw no signs of herpes but I was irritated so he prescribed an oral medication to treat what he too thought was a yeast infection. Took that for 3 days & it did nothing to alleviate my symptoms. Then I got this scratch looking thing on my back and complete panicked because I to read that could he a sign. 2 weeks into this I noticed a line down one of my lips. It's a little red, no pain when touching it or in general but of course Google again has led me to believe it's herpes. I decided to go see a dermatologist & she basically laugh in my face and said it was not herpes and she has never seen herpes look like that. Followed up with my doctor a few days later because I'm still feeling irritated. He looked at the line I noticed and said he has never seen herpes present itself like that & that he thinks it's just irration from what ever is going on. He said he'll swap it but doubts it's herpes. It's not an open sore or bleeding, just basically a line down the inside of my lip. I haven't been able to function for 3 weeks thinking I have herpes. I want to post a pic but don't know how. Can someone please help?! I just want some feed back.

Doctor said no herpes so I'd be happy and take it as that.

I wish I could but these symptoms have lasted 3 weeks with little improvement after being treated for yeast infection & now I stronger cream. It has to be something.

All these drs need to do is take a swab sample to be sure. Why not do it?

I think it’s good you want answers, especially if this is something new to you, follow your intuition.

A blood test can also be performed to see if the virus is in your system -this can be done anytime but ideally 12-16wks past coming into contact with hsv1 or 2 (otherwise you may get a false negative). I would either have a swab of your pubic area preformed for a culture test or in 12-16wks follow up with your dr for a hsv blood test. 👍 take care of yourself but don’t fret either, stressing out won’t help anything.

Good luck! Hopefully it’s nothing serious.

If it was herpes you would know it, the first out break is always the worst, stinging, itching hurting. if you have none of this then I don't think it herpes.

The only thing I have is irritation & just a little itching. It's not even bad enough where I want/need to itch.

I just don't understand because this has been going on for 3 weeks now.

well honestly when I got it, it popped up 2 days after and progressed FAST. We went to the doctor and they told me it was a yeast infection and gave me medicine for it. this was 2 days after it started. by 3 days I was starting to burn super bad. the medicine they gave me for a "yeast infection" actually ate away my skin and made things worse. by day 4 I was no longer able to walk. it had spread down my legs and I had to sleep with ice packs between my legs. the next week on Wednesday I had to go to the ER. I was unable to walk, pee, breathe. I couldn't even eat bc it was so bad. im a diabetic (type 1) so this was a MAJOR ISSUE. I had a ripped line down the inside of my lips. I had most of my skin eaten away bc the one medicine. I had the little craters from the actual herpes. and your first outbreak is supposed to be there worst. mine was so bad I'm scared to pee half the time, I have a panic attack every time it's red or a cut or something. when they finally really checked me for it (my mom had been suggesting it at every doctors appointment to make sure) it was so bad that they had to hold me down in the ER while I screamed my lungs out. I had to pee with ice bc they wanted a pee test. I recommend going to the actual hospital and getting them to check

My Gyno has looked twice & a dermatologist. Both said no way it's herpes. It's been 3 weeks since symptoms started & I don't have any sores except the non open line down one of my lips (that my doctor swab & was negative but I expected that because it has no fluid, pus, blood in it). It's just skin.

I would think I would have at least one sore by now. My vagina hasn't felt normal in 3 weeks & I don't know what else to do. My doctor also checked for yeast, trich, bv...all negative.
