    Hello,

This is not suggestive for oral thrush. It is more suggestive for infectious mononucleosis.

it went away on its own in about 2weeks . idk what to think i went to the doctor he took a maybe a 5 sec look and said its not strep throat but definitely an infection. He didnt swab or anything just prescribed me antibiotics and said those "should" do the trick . I was really put off by his carelessness so i didnt take the medication. Got better on its own should i get tested regardless ?

    Hi,

Infectious Mononucleosis is poorly diagnosed because it is easily confused by other typical infections. Usually it last about 2 weeks. Not necessary to get tested unless you have some recurrent signs or symptoms like aphthous ulcers, mild fever an more frequent headaches. Other than that, always practice safe sex. I'm glad to hear you recovered!
