Herpes on the gum line

hello. ok so I've been diagnosed with hsv1. I've never had a cold sore on my lip, but with in the past year or so I have been getting little sores that are on the inside of my lip, inside cheeks and maybe on the gum line(this one not as often). they usually only last a day then clear up. ive been told they maybe canker sores.. my wife has cold sores from time to time. so maybe I have been exposed to it from her. as far as I know she doesn't get the little sores in her mouth. I am curious to see if anyone else has gone through this. it is driving me crazy. I dont know what else to do. I need help I dont think I can take it any more. is this a normal thing. pls someone help me out.

    they sound like ulcers /canker sores very common in the mouth and rarely need treating

      i also have hsv1 and never had them inside my mouth just on the lip

      so its not herpes? cause canker sores resemble the white patches you can get from genital herpes. idk ive never had canker sores either.
